The Suffolk design draws its name and character from the traditional black-iron style gate commonly found in the East Anglian county of Suffolk and dating back generations. Featuring angle-iron rails and braces for unique visual definition and strong shadow lines, its symmetrical design delivers delicate bucolic charm. The top rail features ornamental corner scrolls, and in sympathy with the oldest surviving originals, a hand-formed roundel marks the centre of the cross brace.

Measuring 2.0m, and with a reversible swing, this single gate is a versatile option for any 2.1m entrance.

Hand-welded from solid premium Australian steel – not hollow tube – this gate is built for decades of service. It is naturally weather resistant for 40+ years, and is available in a choice of two distinctive finishes: the ‘natural rustique patina’ finish for an immediately aged appearance, or black zinc-rich epoxy undercoat that allows natural surface patina and weathering to develop over time. You may instead choose to apply a top coat of suitable enamel to maintain the classic ‘black iron’ appearance. Either way, you’ll have a gate with character made to stand proud for generations to come.
